Biography

Bonjour!  I’m delighted to be re-joining the J.H. Sissons team, this year as the lead teacher for CEPA, an innovative new program that will allow students to explore the curriculum through experiential on-the-land learning that incorporates both Indigenous and non-Indigenous ways of knowing.  I'm passionate about sharing my love of the land with youth and helping them connect with the land.

I’m originally from Ontario, where I obtained my Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Outdoor and Experiential Education.  I am also a certified Wilderness First Responder, and I'm working towards my Forest and Nature School Practitioner’s certification this year.

Outside school, you might find me paddling, skiing, gardening, or knitting.  This will be my fourth year with YK1, and I’m so excited to see what adventures this year has in store!
