This week brings us into June, and the final month of the school year. Teachers have begun final evaluations of students and are getting ready for final report cards. Please remember that this Friday (June 4th) is report card writing day and there will be no classes that day. Thank you for checking in and keeping yourself informed about our school news.
Plant Sale Success
Thank you very much to Mme Julie, our student volunteers and our school's PAC. Mme Julie and the students did an excellent job of preparing our seeds and then bundling the plants together for our annual sale. It looked a little bit differently than it might have in the past, but we were happy to see the return of this school tradition (especially since last year's plant sale was cancelled due to the COVID school closure). Pick-up took place on Thursday, and we are pleased to report that the sale raised a total of $1075 for the PAC. Thank you very much for your hard work, but also to the members of the community who supported our efforts with your purchases.
PAC Survey for JK Bussing
The JHS Parent Advisory Council is conducting a survey about interest in having Junior Kindergarten students ride the bus. If you will have a JK student in the next few years, please take a moment to complete this short survey. Responses are anonymous, and the results will be shared with the YK#1 school board. Please feel free to share this survey with parents of students at other YK#1 schools. Thanks!
There will be a subway lunch Thursday, June 3rd. Orders must be submitted no later than 6:00 PM this Tuesday. Thank you very much to Wendy and the PAC for organizing these lunch days.

No School on Friday
Please remember that there is no school on Friday. Teachers will be preparing student report cards. These will go home on the last day of school, which is Wednesday, June 23rd.
